Women X 2023 – Day 2 Schedule

We're back!

Are you ready for day 2?

We're back for the second and final day of Women X 2023, with plenty more short films and events to get stuck into. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday – that quiz got pretty heated…

And if you haven't picked up your ticket yet, don't worry – you can buy one online or on the door at the Darlington Hippodrome.

Just a reminder our entrance is at The Hullaballoo today, so just around the corner from the main doors yesterday.

📅 What’s on today?

🍿 In the Hullabaloo Theatre, we're screening four short film strands: Homegrown at 10.50am, Pride and Pleasure at 12.35pm, Vignettes of a Diaspora at 2.45pm, and Live Laugh Love at 4.20pm followed by Q&As with our filmmakers.

🌳 Got a little guest in tow? If short films aren't their thing just yet, you can take them along to one of our screenings of The Gruffalo. We'll be joining the mouse on his trip through the woods at 11.45am, 12.45pm, and 1.45pm (the last one is a relaxed screening).

📚 Today in the festival lounge, you can try your hand at zine making at 11.30am, listen to our panel discussion on managing money on set with Centtrip at 1pm, catch Sarah Grant reading from her new book Fat Girl Best Friend at 2.30pm, meet some new people with our networking session in partnership with Festival Formula at 4pm.

🛍️ You can also pop in at any time to browse our shop stalls – our partners Tillie Rose Studio and Spilt Milk Press will be selling gorgeous prints and stationery, and we'll also be selling RP merch at our front desk.

🪩 Then, it's time to get your glad rags on and meet us on the pink carpet at the Mercure Darlington Kings Hotel from 7.30pm before a round of disco bingo, our awards ceremony, and a boogie on the dance floor.
