Rianne Reads: Supporting 30 Talented Writers 👀

We're excited to announce the 30 writers who were chosen at random in our latest Rianne Reads script reading window. After having over 200 submissions back in November, we pulled out 30 scripts at random and our development team and readers have been hard at work providing completely free feedback with actionable steps. It’s our way of giving back and we can't wait to see where these writers go next and are proud to support their creative journey. You can check out the full list below.

Women X 2025 🍿

Women X Fest submissions are flooding in and our next deadline is January 31st. It’s your chance to showcase your work and be part of a festival that champions underrepresented voices in film, we’re BIFA accrediated and can’t wait to be back for our 6th edition. We’re extending our run time criteria this year which means your film can now be up to 40 minutes and part of the festival, plus we’re taking expressions of interest on features. We’re hard at work behind the scenes onboarding and training some new previewers into our programming team, meeting with our venues (we’re hoping to announce official dates soon) and chatting to some exciting potential partners. We know everyone loves a good sneak peek journey, but trust us, photos of us staring at spreadsheets with our bad posture at laptops aren't exactly a thrill or Linkedin worthy. Rest assured, we're doing the hard work so you can enjoy the magic of the festival and will be sharing more of the journey soon.

Alumni News: FIGHT ME 🥊

Now for some exciting alumni news Sarah Grant, is currently shooting her feature film FIGHT ME. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, Sarah's passion project is coming to life. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and community support. We wish Sarah all the best and can't wait to see her film on the big screen! You can follow along that journey here.

We’ll be back next month ahead of our workshop day, but with International Women’s Day approaching in March....you know where everyone and their cat throws an event....we’d love to hear what ACTION you would love from the film industry.
