RP: Evolve Applications Are Open

For our fourth cohort, we’ve expanded our offering to cater for those who only need certain parts of the programme - read on to find out more! ✍🏻

Our popular writers and directors development programme is back for 2024 with a host of new options for creatives looking for encourage, confidence and development on their script projects.

What is it?

We’ve been supporting women in the film industry for over ten years now, we’ve seen incredible short films premiere and big changes happen to improve the way we work. However, there’s still a big short fall of creative opportunities for women in the industry and many remaining issues that affect career longevity.

Schemes designed to help us in the industry are often limited to being location specific, that small 16-25 age gap window or falsely showcasing ‘entry level help’ but requiring you to have a bucket of experience. Which is why we created RP: Evolve - our talent development programme, which welcomes applications for all ages, backgrounds and experience levels! We’ve worked with over 30 filmmakers with the scheme since 2021 and we’re excited to work with a whole new cohort!

How can I get involved?

The full Evolve programme is three months long and is flexible, so ideal for those working full time or part time jobs as many of the sessions are in the evenings and weekends. This covers workshops, mentoring, co-working and script feedback for three whole drafts.

You’ll need to apply for the programme whether you are applying for a paid place, or one of our sponsored or pay what you can spaces (which are very competitive) you DO NOT need to have a script already, we are happy to develop brand new ideas.

What’s new?

For 2024 we have added Evolve Lite and Evolve Reads to the programme, so if you’re unable to take part in the full programme or don’t feel that it’s for you right now you can do.

Evolve Lite grants you access to all four of our workshops (Script Structure, Shot planning and scheduling, Directing your cast and crew and How to Pitch) and Evolve Reads grants you access to three script reads with personalised feedback.
