Our fourth cohort of our talent development programme is coming to an end this month, and we’re expanding our exciting offering by taking it on the road! We’re going to hosting dynamic one-day workshops across the UK packed with creativity, learning, and networking, all dedicated to empowering storytellers like you. Women X Script Competition 🖊

Now, for all you scriptwriters out there, The 2nd Annual Women X Script Competition is officially OPEN! 🎉 This is your chance to showcase your talent and have your work celebrated. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, it’s a great opportunity and we’re even adding an optional add on where you’ll get full feedback with actionable steps.

The deadline for submissions is June 28th, and we have an earlybird offer on until Wednesday 17th April to save yourself some pounds on the entry fees. So sharpen those pencils, get typing, and let your stories be heard. For all the deets, including how to submit and what you could win, check out our website.

Final Call for Women X Film Festival Submissions ⏰

The clock is ticking, but there's still time to submit your film to our festival. You have until May 1st to get your masterpieces to us. We’ve had such a rich array of films sent into this year, and we’re excited to be building some exciting screenings of themes we haven’t yet explored in previous editions - so don’t delay!

And just a little note on waivers a.k.a free entry to the festival, we don’t grant this. We have a fair and equal process for all filmmakers entering the festival, and we strive to keep our submissions fees as low as possible while the costs of events have risen. We have received a lot of requests for free entry this year, so much so that we calculated it would cost us £2000+. We’re not 100% funded and we have to work really hard for any funding or sponsorship we receive, so don’t be disheartened if we’re unable to give you free entry, it’s the same for everyone at Women X.
